As president and CEO of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI) from 1996 to 2000, Alan developed the successful Masters’ Institute, revolutionizing the principles of unconditional leadership excellence and Kingdom transformations, which are modeled in member companies and replicated through the hundreds of members of Kingdom Companies.
Author of three books — Beyond World Class, Unconditional Excellence and Kingdom Path — Alan shares the principles that have helped him succeed throughout his leadership career in senior positions with AT&T, Pennsylvania House Furniture and Armstrong World Industries, as well as CEO of Corporate Development Institute, which has completed 37 corporate “turn-around” engagements.
Alan has a bachelor’s degree in business communications with a minor in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University, both magna cum laude.
He continues to serve as an active member of several corporate and non-profit boards while acting as vice president of reliability and founder of Electric Power Reliability Alliance, Timothy Funds.
Alan founded Kingdom Companies as a ministry committed to equipping and encouraging Kingdom business owners and senior leaders to use their professional positions or business ownership as a platform for excellence, believing the best witness is excellence and integrity in business. His passion is to develop legacy leaders who will carry on these principles through the marketplace and transform their companies, their communities and the culture through the love and excellence of Christ.
Alan is a gifted communicator and a sought-after speaker for business and ministry organizations and for companies with a passion for unconditional excellence. Under the umbrella of Kingdom Companies, Alan co-founded the National Association of Christian Financial Advisors (NACFC) certification program as a means to coalesce the industry around the principles of biblically responsible investment, stewardship and legacy.
He attends Northpoint Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. His greatest blessing and passion after serving the Lord is his wife and best friend of 43 years, Sara, and his sons, Patrick and Michael, and daughter-in-law, Ana.
